Participaction 150 Playlist Activity Camp - *NEW*
ParticipACTION 150 Playlist Camps – Winkler Parks & Recreation will be running a series of three, 1-week activity camps in conjunction with the ParticipACTION 150 Playlist initiative. The first camp will take place April 3-7, 4:00 – 5:30 pm. The program is open to anyone, grades 2-4. Children will have the opportunity to participate in various sports and games from the Playlist. The first camp will include activities such as Hockey, Capture the Flag, Dodgeball and many more. To register, go to www.winkler.ca/programregistration or call us at 204-325-8333.
 
Rookie Rugby
Rookie Rugby is returning to Winkler in Spring, 2017.  Rookie Rugby is a fun, non-contact program for children ages 4-16.  The program will run on Saturday mornings from April 22 - June 24 at Lion's Park. 
Minis (4-6 years old) - $60
Flag (7-14 years old) - $65
Tackle (11-13 / 14-16 years old) - $75

Winkler Dodgeball League

Registration is now open for the inaugural season of the Winkler Dodgeball League. Dodgeball will run on Sunday evenings for 12 weeks from February to April. Players can register as a team or individual. To register, contact Winkler Parks & Recreation at 204-325-8333 or jdriedger@cityofwinkler.ca. The cost is $250 per team or $40 per individual.

Parent/Youth Badminton

The Parent/Youth Badminton program is for parents and their children over 10.  The program will run on Thursdays, beginning October 6, from 7:00 - 10:00 pm at the Emerado Centennial School.  This program is unsupervised, therefore parents are asked to always attend the program with their youth.  To register, click here.

Community Programs & Events
Curling-for-All
The Winkler Curling Club would like to invite the community to their drop-in curling week taking place on March 27-31. Whether playing the game for the first time or getting together with a group of friends, the Curling Club encourages you to stop in. Open curling will run from 1:00-4:00 pm (Monday, Wednesday-Friday) and 7:00-9:00 pm (Monday-Friday). Free of charge.

Sport for Life Centre - Athlete Combine
When: April 28, 2017
Time: 4:30 - 7:30 pm
Where: Northlands Parkway Collegiate
Who: Ages 12 & up
Cost: $30 per athlete
The Day includes:
  • Info session for parents
  • Athlete testing for speed, agility, strength and power
  • Specialized talent ID testing by Rowing Canada
  • Review of athlete's results by Sport Performance Experts
  • Draws, Prizes & Music
  • Recovery snacks and drinks

Hatha Yoga Classes
Date: Winter session start date has been postponed to January 19, 2017. 
Time: 4:00-5:00 pm, 5:30-6:30 pm or 7:00-8:00 pm
Where: Northlands Parkway Collegiate
Instructor: LaDawn Insull
Cost: $12 drop-in, $50 for 5 classes, $90 for 10 classes.  Youth (13-18) are half price.

Pickleball
When: Tuesday and Thursday, 7:00pm beginning Septemeber 13, 2016
Where: Tuesdays @ Emerado Centennial School and Thursdays @ Winkler Elementary School
Cost: $25 per night

Winkler Iron Fist Martial Arts Academy
Classes run twice a week:
Children's Class: Monday & Thursday, 7-8 pm
Adult Class: Monday & Thursday, 7-8 pm
All interested participants can come and try a class for free.
