I have a zest for life and passion for people that is rarely matched!

With over 13 years of management experience my optimism, aggressive problem solving, and dynamic approach to managing change has brought success to every organization I have been a part of. Whether that was stabilizing a financially failing organization, or helping a church leadership team gain traction and transition forward, I have the experience and will continue my track record of high-achievement for the betterment of Winkler.

I also look forward to bringing my formal education - which includes a Masters in Leadership and Management (graduating with distinction achieving a GPA of 3.87/4.00) and an undergraduate degree in Political Studies - to City Council in order to champion challenges, and resource others towards higher levels of success.

My extensive community involvement has allowed me to keep my hand on the pulse of this great city! Areas of involvement have included: church/ministry leadership (board member, Ministry Director for youth drop-in centre, leading College and Career groups, youth ministerial Treasurer), political service (provincial and federal campaign volunteer, information officer for provincial/federal elections, scrutineer for provincial election), sports and recreation (Manitoba Power Smart Games Social Media Team, Assistant Coach for High School Junior Varsity Basketball, North American Indigenous Games security team), and both local and global humanitarian relief efforts (Drive Away Hunger campaign for our local food bank, local United Way volunteer canvasser, and co-leading mission trips to Mexico and Puerto Rico).

Key areas of interest to champion include: increasing seniors care & support, seeing affordable housing becoming a transitional chapter in a family’s story, and fully resourcing youth justice programs and initiatives.

My wife Crystal as well as my son Justice, and daughter Arianna join me on this journey and have been fully supportive…even to the point of going door-knocking with me as we engage with a community where people really do make the difference.
